Zusammenfassung

Do you keep trying to change but nothing sticks? Have you read self-help books, maybe even tried therapy, only to find yourself right back where you started-anxious, unmotivated, stuck in the same patterns you hate? You're not broken. You don't lack willpower. You're just missing the one thing that actually creates lasting change: understanding how behavior really works. Dr. Roberts is a practicing clinician and behavioral specialist who has spent years helping people change behaviors that seemed impossible to shift-including cases other therapists refused to take on. After recognizing that most clients needed the same foundational knowledge in their first 8-10 sessions, he created a straightforward method that puts the power of behavior change directly in your hands. No fluff, no endless talk therapy, just the practical science of how your brain learns, why you do what you do, and how to rewire it all. Through real case studies, relatable examples, and a refreshingly direct approach, Do Different, Feel Different gives you a complete framework for understanding the invisible variables controlling your behavior-and shows you exactly how to change them. In this book, you'll discover:Why you don't lack willpower-you lack reinforcement (and how to fix that) How to eliminate the shame that's been keeping you stuck and blocking real change The exact reinforcement schedules that make bad habits so addictive-and how to break free How your brain's unique wiring affects behavior (especially if you have ADHD) and how to work with it Why "just stop it" never works-and the design-based approach that actually does How to identify what's really reinforcing the behaviors you hate and introduce replacement behaviors that stick The difference between upward and downward behavioral spirals-and how to shift direction intentionally This isn't another book promising quick fixes or telling you to think positive thoughts. It's operationally effective, evidence-based behavioral science made accessible-no graduate degree required. Once you understand these principles, you'll have a transferable skill set you can apply to any behavior you want to change, now or in the future. If you're ready for real talk, practical strategies, and an approach that actually respects how your brain works, then you'll love Dr. Roberts' Do Different, Feel Different. Buy Do Different, Feel Different today and discover how changing your behavior is the key to finally changing how you feel!
