Born and raised in a rural community, Brian followed his university degree to the city and a career in the computer industry. Always possessed by a compulsion to help others, he spent three years as a volunteer with outpatients of one of the province's major psychiatric hospitals. A family tragedy took Brian back to his roots, where he spent the balance of his career on the land, as a volunteer fireman and an insurance broker. His eclectic existence has provided a wealth of experience and technical knowledge that brings his stories to life.
